Today is my mom's birthday. I am missing her and missing my dad too. I am thankful for the time I had them here, but wishing that they would be here to share some of the most wonderful times I am having now with my children and granddaughter.
I spent my morning with Alexis, Teresa (her other g-ma) and Bella (her cousin). We walked to the park and played on the play structure at Sweetbriar Park (I think that is the name of the park) in Troutdale. We had so much fun. It was great to catch up with Teresa since I have not seen her all summer long.
Then over to our old neighborhood to help Jay working on his sidewalk repair job. The city of Portland is due out tomorrow for our inspection of our concrete forms. Jay just ran out of gas and did not get it completed, so we will be getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to finish before the inspector arrives.
Now a hot shower, cold beverage and zone out.
