TAX TIME AGAIN?

Another year has gone by and it is tax time again.  I have been putting it off for fear of the unknown.  This was my first full year with no job.  I am thankful for unemployment, but Uncle Sam always seems to get the better end of the deal.  So off to the tax accountant, Jeri, she has been doing our taxes for a very long time and I am thankful for that.  The bad news is the bill I received for the tax preparation, the good news is that we do not owe Uncle Sam a penny!

SPRING BREAK

Well, no trip to Arizona this year, but the Mayfields took a trip to Reno Nevada so Jordan could check out the University of Nevada, Reno for a possibility of playing baseball there in two years.  Harley could not go on the trip, so she was treated to a week at Tully's Doggie Daycare Center.  Actually, it is more like a doggie spa where she was spoiled by the dog whisperer, Uncle Jay.   She got to run around in the backyard, chase the squirrels and birds and had doggie visits at the fence by Bailey, the black lab that lives next door.  She got to sleep on the bed,  got lots of doggie massages, belly scratches and lots of doggie treats.  We sure enjoyed having her.  She is so cute, how can you say no to those big eyes?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!

Happy Birthday to the best brother-in-law!  You are a good husband to my baby sister, a good dad to my favorite neice and nephew, a good son and brother.  Hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration.  I am sad that our family doesn't get together as much these days, but always joyful for the times we do, cuz we make the most of it.

It is my older sister's 60th birthday today!  Oh Oh, that means I am not far behind.  Aging is not what it is all cracked to be and so far becoming a senior citizen has been an interesting time of life.  However, senior discounts are the best!  Happy Birthday Cor and hope all your dreams come true.
