TGIF

Thank goodness it is Friday!  Last night we picked up Andi and Clark at PDX (the honeymoon vacation is over).  Stayed up catching up on the past two weeks.  They had a wonderful time, Andi got some sun, but Clark used his spf 100 for safety.  Sounds like lots of fun, golf, tennis, snorkeling, walking on the coral reef, great dining and meeting new friends from all over the world.  Lucy was sure glad to see her parents, but sad tonight after they left.  Don't worry Lucy, they will be back next week to get you.

This morning Vanessa and Alexis came to visit.  Sydney flew in to PDX this morning from Ashland.  After Carol picked her up at pdx, they stopped by also to visit.  A mini family reunion and lots of coffee drinking going on!

Alexis took a nap with the magic blanket this morning even though she wanted to stay up and visit like the grown up people.  She is such a party girl and can I just say, SHE LOVES TO DANCE!

IT'S G-NINNIE WEDNESDAY

Back on track, it's G-Ninnie Wednesday.  What fun Jay and I had with Alexis today.  Her personality is so sparkly.  She makes us laugh.  She showed us her four teeth today, in fact, she chomped down on one of my fingers.  OWWWW!

The girl loves to dance to any song with a good beat.  She bounces to the music whether she is sitting, standing or crawling.

FALL IS DEFINITELY HERE SEEMS LIKE WINTER

Fall definitely is here.  I enjoyed the yellow, orange, red and brown leaves but now they are everywhere - in the street, on the sidewalks, in the yard...

It feels almost like winter is coming early, it is very cold and wet.  It has already started snowing in the mountains the past week or so.

Good thing Jay and I got our wood stacked in a very nice pile.  We will certainly be glad to just go out and get some wood already split for the fire in the fireplace/woodstove.  I love the sound of a crackling fire.  We enjoyed having a fire in the firepit in the backyard also the past couple of weeks.  Lucy, who has been here, enjoys the fire as well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LUCY WHO IS THREE YEARS OLD!

Lucy turned three years old on Monday, November 8, 2010.  Since her mommy and daddy were away on their honeymoon, we got to help her celebrate.  Her parents left lots of treats for her.   She has been trying to sniff this bag for the past four days and finally got to see what was in the bag.

She even got her own birthday cake.

Here is Lucy listening to Andi and Clark sing happy birthday to her.  They sent a voice message and I turned the volume up and played it for her.  She recognized their voices and I think she really misses them.

SURPRISE G-NINNIE!

A surprise visit today on the way home from bbq club, Bryan and Alexis stopped to visit papa jay, Lucy and me.  This absolutely made my day complete.

Papa Jay has a new toy for baby Alexis.  Hope she learns how to use the abacas part, maybe her daddy can show her how.

Lucy was especially happy to see Alexis.  She gave her lots of kisses despite Alexis squeezing her ears and nose.  She giggled in delight!

TRICK OR TREAT

This cute giraffe spent the day at our house on Sunday along with her mommy and daddy as well as both sets of grandparents so we could share in the fun of her first halloween.

Alexis got to ride in style in her red radio flyer wagon trick or treating in the regency park neighborhood.

We had a wonderful day spending time with each other and making memories together.  We experienced a very stormy day on Saturday, so was pleasantly surprised that the weather was perfect for the ghosts, goblins and cute trick or treaters on Sunday.
