THANKS SUSAN

Thanks to my friend Susan, who is trying to help me keep focused, I have been to the dentist this week for my six month check up and cleaning, got my yearly mammogram, laundry is caught up, prescriptions refilled, grocery list made (will go shopping tomorrow), working on some filing in my office, paying some bills, sorted through one of my closets (trip to Goodwill soon to come) and making lists like crazy on what else needs to be done. I was still able to watch the finale of Dancing With The Stars and American Idol and read a few chapters in the book I am currently reading and snuggle with Alexis. So when did I have time to hold down a full time job? Have I told you lately that I absolutely LOVE being home?

Of course, just barely made a dent in my long list of things that need to be taken care of but on a good start and it feels good. Thanks Susan!

Is it Monday again already?

Where does the time go? It seems like the hours, days, weeks fly by and I am going nowhere fast. I can't seem to stay focused to get my projects done around the house. Roy and Rod just left. They were here by 8am for coffee and breakfast sandwiches this morning. Yak, Yak, Yak like a bunch of cackling hens (and they say women are like this---I think men may be worse).

I am finally getting my appointments made for this week and sitting down and going to pay some bills (that ought to be fun). I have a load of laundry in and hope the weather clears up so I can plant my tomato plants this week.

I am missing my kids, dunno why, I have seen all of them recently, but still missing them. Andi, Clark and Lucy will be here for the weekend. Bryan, Vanessa and Alexis will be home from the coast soon, so maybe I am just feeling like I need my family. Gosh, wish I could get focused!

MONDAY-MONDAY

Happy Monday to all! Enjoyed a nice weekend of baseball, yardwork, relaxing, watching the rain. I went outside this morning and noticed my irises are blooming. I love the spring!

Roy was here bright and early for coffee/breakfast and now Jay and Roy are in the garage working on a project! I like that!

I'M A GIRL ON THE MOVE

Dear Blog,
Sorry I have failed to blog for the past week. I have been on the road. I went to Tacoma to dogsit Lucy while her mommy and daddy went away for the weekend to celebrate Andi's 30th birthday in Olympic National Park. They had a wonderful time and so did Lucy and I. We just hung out together; watching movies, doing yardwork and housework, reading, snacking and just bonding.

I also was treated to a trip to Seattle to watch the Mariners play the Los Angeles Angels. The end result was not good for the Mariners, but it's always fun to hang out at Safeco Field or any major league baseball field for that matter!

Today I am leaving for Redmond Oregon to meet up with Jay who has been taking care of a horse, 2 dogs and a cat for the past few days. Looking forward to enjoying some sunshine. Got to get my baby fix last night to last me for a few days. She continues to amaze me as she is growing by leaps and bounds and trying so hard to tell me what she has been up to! Vanessa and Bryan are such good parents.

Happy May

Can you believe it is May already? April showers bring May flowers - yes my hot pink azaleas are blooming and they are beautiful. The daffodils and tulips have blossomed and are just a memory. May brings Mothers Day, Memorial Day and my baby girl's "30"th birthday. Hard to believe--seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and then Mt. St. Helens erupted! She has been shaking my world ever since and we love her!
