Happy Anniversary Bryan and Vanessa

WOW! Can you believe it has been three years since Bryan and Vanessa tied the knot at the David Hill Winery? What a wonderful day that was. Congratulations to the both of you. I am so thankful you two found each other, fell in love and will live happily ever after. Alexis seems to have just added even more excitement to your daily lives.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

We enjoyed a very nice fathers day on Sunday. Bryan, Vanessa and Alexis came over around noon and spent a few hours hanging out. Alexis is giggling and smiling a lot these days, so made Papa Jay a very happy grandpa.

FISHING FOOL

Jay has been a fishing fool lately. He just returned from a week of fishing and hanging out with his buddies at Diamond Lake, Crescent Lake, Crane Prairie, Wickiup and other other lakes I cannot remember. They caught lots of fish, the biggest one was 22 inches long (a rainbow trout). They also caught kokanee. He is back home and I think salmon/steelhead are on his list.

In the meantime, he got to snuggle with Alexis yesterday. She dressed especially for Papa Jay in her carhart coveralls, cow onesie, Bryan's old indian mocassins and Bryan's old baseball cap.

G-Ninnie Wednesday

Yesterday was G-Ninnie Wednesday (my day with Alexis). What a fun day we had. We ate, slept, wet our pants, played with lots of toys, read lots of books, snuggled and watched tv.

And...when her parents came home, I enjoyed a nice cocktail and a wonderful dinner compliments of the other Tulls. Have I mentioned that Vanessa and Bryan are also great cooks and hosts?

I cannot think of a better way to spend my day.

RAINY BUT FUN WEEKEND

The weekend went by so fast. It was rainy, but had lots of fun. Saturday we went to Sydney's graduation party- here she is with her PINK bike she is taking to college with her. There were lots of people, lots of good food and lots of sunshine. The sunshine only lasted one day though. It totally rained cats and dogs on Sunday.

Sunday I was invited to taste wedding cakes with Clark and Andi. What fun! Had a nice but short visit with Andi, Clark and Lucy before they headed back to Tacoma.

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my dad's birthday. I can't help but wish he were here to enjoy his beautiful great granddaughter, Alexis. Well, at least she is resembling him at this point of her life. She will grow up and be her own person, but for now she brings his memory to the forefront of my mind.

BRYAN'S PATERNITY LEAVE IS OVER

Today was Bryan's first day back at work - paternity leave is over and reality has set in for the other Tulls. Vanessa has been back for about two months since delivering the wonderful bundle of joy. Bryan then took two months off and his turn as Mr. Mom.

Alexis was such a good girl. She has established quite a good routine now, so taking care of her was a breeze today. She was sleeping when I arrived. When she woke up, we played, she ate, got her diaper changed and played some more then went down for two more naps before Vanessa arrived home and it was time for this g-ninnie to go home. I hope she is well rested and can enjoy the evening with her parents before it is time to do it all over again. Lucky papa Michael gets to spend the next two days with her. I know she will be a good girl for him too!
