GIRLS DAY OUT

I had a fun day with my sister and niece-movie, popcorn, lunch, shopping and lots of giggles. What more could girl want?

Spring Early?

It has been so nice this past week. Are we getting spring early? Or are we getting teased? Who cares--I'm just enjoying it. But that means spring cleaning-YUCK. Cleaning is not one of my favorite things to do, but musts. We are going out to see the little one today. I hope it satifies my gramma needs for a few days. Alexis is over 6 lbs now and has grown 2 inches. Wow!

ALEXIS

She is growing so fast. Got to hold her yesterday. She is 6 lbs 8 oz now and has grown 2 inches since birth--21 inches long now. She coos after she eats-you can tell she is part of this family! Bryan and Vanessa are such good parents.

OUT OF SORTS

Well I have been out of sorts for the past couple of days. Not sure if it is because we did not get together as a family for Chinese New Years or because I have not seen my grandbaby in several days. We did not even eat Chinese food on Chinese New Years! I guess I am just feeling a little melancholy but cannot quite put my finger on it. I will snap out of it. Had a good nights sleep finally last night and slept in really late this morning.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Happy Sweethearts Day to all my sweethearts. Just got back from a quick trip up north to Tacoma yesterday to watch my baby girl play in her singles tennis match in Bremerton. It was awesome and she rocked! We then enjoyed some homemade crock pot chili (she is a great cook) and then were the dogsitters while Lucy's parents went out for date night a birthday party. We were treated to a lovely breakfast at the well loved Paddy Coyne's in downtown Tacoma. Stopped on I5 on the way home at Cabela's to stretch our legs and see what's new at Jay's favorite store. Good to be home and wanting to go out and get our baby fix. Called Alexis, but she's not home, or taking a nap.

HAPPY MONDAY

It feels so weird to be waking up on a Monday morning, but nowhere I have to be, nothing I have to do...

The sun is shining so I know I am where I should be and it will be a beautiful day. I just enjoyed the day, enjoyed my husband, enjoyed my life and the cards that I have been dealt.

I cannot believe I got sucked into watching the Batchelor this season, but I am hooked!

LUCY

We have been dogsitting our granddog Lucy for the past couple of weeks. She is such a good dog and snuggly but today she took the cake, literally! While I had to leave the room for just a minute to answer the phone, she ate some cupcakes that we had sitting out on the coffee table for a friend who stopped by for coffee today. Hopefully, her tummy can handle it. We are watching her closely and so far she is okay. We fessed up to her mother, but we will probably get a lecture from Andi when she comes this weekend to pick her up.

We ended January with a nice surprise. Alexis Mikaela Tull decided she wanted out of the womb and burst into this world on January 31, 2010, 10:22 pm, 5 lbs, 14 oz, 19 inches long. She is so beautiful, perfect in every way, gorgeous features from both parents. I can't get enough of her. Everything that I have been told about being a gramma is TRUE!
